Each presentation is tailored to the types of disasters relevant to the local area (ex: home fire, wildfire, earthquake) and can be adjusted based on length and audience

Students will learn earthquake and home fire preparedness and safety skills, as well as how to stay calm during stressful situations. Red Cross presenters use a 'Learn, Practice, Share’ framework to encourage students to help prepare their family and community for emergencies after the presentation.
  • Prepare with Pedro: This new program for kids age 5-7 (K-2nd grade) uses the story of Pedro the Penguin to teach students how to prepare for and take action during emergencies such as home fires and wildfires.
