FOOD Share will be participating in the Nation’s largest one day food drive, National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive. Last year we were able to collect over 200,000 pounds of food in one day with the help of our local letter carriers. We are looking for volunteers to assist with the following Post Office locations.
Event Description:
- Assist with the building of bins
- Two volunteers to help direct carriers to positions where volunteers can unload carrier trucks
- All to cheer, clap, and make some noise as carriers arrive
- All help off-load Carrier trucks of bluer bags filled with food into cart
- All help to empty carts into the bins
- No one under the age of 14 is allowed per postal rules.
- Attire: Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. If you arrive in sandals, you will not be allowed on the Post Office property. Please show up on time and be prepared to have fun while working hard.
