The shelter is in need of some sprucing up after housing over 200+ evacuations animals from the Woolsey and Hill Fires. Many of our dog yards need some heavy duty cleaning and much needed TLC. We also have hay all over our ground, trees that need trimming, storage sheds to be organized and so much more. We are looking for volunteers to help make this a huge clean-up day.
We ask that volunteers be able to work outside and be able to perform manual labor. Please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and be ok with getting a little dirty! We will provide gloves, masks if needed, and equipment for cleaning.
Volunteers as young as 14 years are welcome to come as long as they are accompanied by an adult (18 yrs+).
We will provide lunch and drinks.
The event runs from 9 am to 2 pm and volunteers are welcome to come late or leave early.
