We are a 100% volunteer run, grassroots cancer organization in Thousand Oaks and we're looking for some dedicated and reliable volunteers for our upcoming event on Sunday September 25th, 2016 in Agoura Hills.
The event is our bi-annual UCAAN Buy Me Love Date Auction. Yes! We do auction off dates with people all for the sake of our charity!
The times listed are from start to finish, you can select when you would like to volunteer!
We are looking for volunteers to help with various shifts including
Loading cars at our office to bring items to the event location and bring them back at the end of the night. PU time in Thousand Oaks at our office would be at 1pm. For our end of the evening trip, we need volunteers from 9:30pm-11pm (You must have a car to help with transport)
We also need volunteers to help with both set up and clean up. We have 3 hours for event set up, but only an hour for clean up. Set up is from 2:15-5:15pm and clean up is from 11pm-11:45pm
Volunteers are needed to help us run the event including - sign in, opportunity 2 win, video recording and photos, beverage station, vendors and more.
Our UCAAN Buy Me Love event is one of our most popular so much that we've done it twice some years.
This is a date auction, and yes we are auctioning off dates with single men and women. Each date includes a date package that winning bidders get to spin to win! These date packages are donated by our awesome sponsors!
This event is more than our date auction, we also have different vendors, food, an opportunity 2 win (which is our version or a silent auction) and more. This year we've even added a VIP After-party, which is an opportunity for our daters, winning bidders and VIP attendees an opportunity to chat, dance and have fun getting to know one another. So we're really excited about this bonus part of the event.
Small groups of volunteers are welcome. But everyone interested must submit a request to volunteer. Please DO NOT just show up without speaking with us first. :) We are looking for volunteers 18+ during the event to help. Volunteers can be under 18, with a parent/Adult. Families are welcome to volunteer, but for families with children under 18, we request you only help during set-up.
Community Service volunteers welcome. (If it is required by courts or your school, you must give us your paperwork you need signed at the beginning of your shift and we will sign once you have completed it) We ask that you are not on your phone, when volunteering.
