What We Do
Ruben Castro Charities offers several programs to support the community:
-
Food Distribution: The organization provides food assistance to low-income families and individuals through weekly “Grab and Go Groceries” events, distributing food to over 600 families per week.
-
Moorpark College Pantry: In collaboration with Moorpark College, Ruben Castro Charities operates a food pantry located on the college campus, offering groceries to students and community members in need.
-
Scholarships and Financial Assistance: The organization provides scholarships and financial support for housing, utilities, and other essential needs to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency.
Through these initiatives, Ruben Castro Charities aims to inspire hope and renewal in the community by addressing immediate needs and promoting long-term self-sufficiency.
