Dear Volunteer,
EVENT IS RESCHEDULED DUE TO RAIN THIS WEEKEND...NEW DATE IS SAT, FEB 17TH
We are seeking volunteers to help us at our Share the Love Gift~Away Event 2024.
Volunteers will help with setting up the event with tables, chairs, canopies and arranging donations/decorations. Also, help with distributing donations to families and we will need help with breaking down event/cleaning/storing items left over.
When: Saturday, February 17th
Time Slots:
Shift 1: 7:45am - 11am (set-up/event)
Shift 2: 10:45am - 1:30pm (event/break-down)
Location: Kids & Families Together, 864 E. Santa Clara St., Ventura. Park on Kalorama St or another neighboring street and enter our back parking lot.
Upon Arrival
All volunteers will need to sign-in and fill out the volunteer acknowledgment/liability waiver and our photo release form (optional).
Volunteer Guidelines:
* children under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult/caregiver
* children under 18 will need to have their parent sign a volunteer waiver and photo release
*All volunteers will need to sign-in upon arrival and once per calendar year, a volunteer waiver and photo release form.
Please be mindful of what you can help with. We will have some light volunteer tasks available.
Need assistance with:
- Lifting containers/boxes
- Setting up for the event with tables, chairs, canopies, arranging donated items and decor.
- Distributing donated items to families in need.
- Breaking down event/cleaning and helping with storing items left over.
- Carrying items up/down a flight of stairs
- Organizing our storage/donations/supplies
- Light snacks and drinks available. Lunch served for 2nd shift.
- Restrooms on site
- Please wear clothing suitable for getting dirty and please wear close-toed shoes.
