United Way of Ventura County's annual free school supply project - Stuff the Bus - is seeking volunteers to help process backpack and school supply donations.
Volunteers are needed for shifts on two days for 3 hour shifts to open, sort, stage and inventory both donations and bulk purchases. It takes a great team to process and stage 10's of thousands of items.
This year, we will be processing over 1,300 backpacks for grades K-12 with grade-appropriate school supplies. Even in the event that we experience remote learning again this fall, students will need these supplies to be successful in their lessons.
The staging site will be at the Ventura County Office of Education admin offices, and all relevant COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed. Masks will be required.
We will provide:

- gloves
- sanitizer
- water
- coffee
