2-1-1 Call Center Volunteers (3-18-2020)

Description

Please consider serving as a 2-1-1 Ventura County volunteer, as the call center responds to the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Two available options:

  • one is to volunteer on-site at the temporary call center in Camarillo, CA
  •  second option is to volunteer remotely from home.

For both options, on-site training in Camarillo is required.

UWVC and Interface Children & Family Services want to remind you that your health comes first. As a reminder, social distancing is being taken into consideration with on-site volunteering in compliance to CDC rules and regulations. 

Training: 

  • Training prior to volunteering is offered at 8:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 4:30 PM daily. Email Lauren.Zika@vcunitedway.org for questions and location. 
  • Volunteers must be comfortable sitting for long periods (~4 hours) and using a computer. 

Volunteering On-site : 

  • Make sure to bring your own laptop and earbuds/headphones/or a headset with microphone attached*. (WIFI and hard wire accessibility available) *photo references below 
  • Water is provided
  • Breaks will be issued when needed
  • Restroom facilities are accessible

Volunteering Off-site: 

  • Access to computer, earbuds/headphones/or a headset with microphone, and internet connection.
