Would you like to lead a community service project? We need your help.
United Way of Ventura County (UWVC) is looking for leaders to support our annual Day of Caring, to be held Saturday, September 28 from 9:00-noon.
Each year dozens of non-profit organizations throughout Ventura County host hundreds of volunteers in a huge Day of Caring. UWVC has been coordinating this event for the past 30 years to serve non-profit organizations throughout Ventura County.
Each project site is supported by a UWVC Project Lead who works in conjunction with the non-profit host and volunteer team leads, to represent United Way and to ensure a successful project which is safe, and fun for all!
As Project Lead, you will be supported by UWVC staff and the Day of Caring Planning Team. In addition to online or in person orientation and day-of-event project hosting, there will be some brief pre- and post-event work such as picking up and dropping off materials. Total commitment estimated to be 5 hours.
Project sites will be located at non-profit partner sites throughout Ventura County. Some sites will be wheelchair accessible, others will not. Please ask, we are happy to work with you!
