United Way of Ventura County hosts 2 major events through-out the year, Women United Luncheon and Spirit Awards. We are looking for amazing and dedicated volunteers to help us make these events a huge success!
The mission of the United Way of Ventura County’s Women United is to mobilize the power of women as change-makers, creating a community where women, families and communities thrive. Its main focus is supporting single-mothers and empowering them through financial capability and education, which is a critical first step to building stronger communities. Women United is comprised of a diverse group of women leaders who are engaged with philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy.
As an Women United Luncheon Volunteer, you will help with:
- Securing digital logo from every donor for the Marketing Team
- Creating, assembling and pricing silent auction packages
- Creating bidding sheets
- Picking up silent auction items o Setting up silent auction tables during event set-up
- Working with the Event Registration/Check-Out Team to design check-out procedures
- Organizing information to hand to Development Department for data entry
Requirements
- Must have great communications skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
- Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
- Be able to work independently
- Must have reliable transportation
Time Commitment
- Commit to 3 hours on Women United Luncheon, May 17th
