The Mountain Fire has burned over 20,000 acres with over 200 homes damaged or destroyed. We are reaching out to our Spontaneous Volunteers to assist those impacted by volunteering at the Local Assistance Center (LAC).
Volunteers are needed to help at the LAC that has been set up to provide information and services to those impacted by the Mountain Fire. Volunteers will serve as greeters, help survivors navigate the LAC, help staff tables of VC VOAD organizations, and assist with distribution of goods.
The LAC will be located at the Ventura County Office of Education in Camarillo. We are asking volunteers to sign up for a three (3) hour shift. The LAC will open on Thursday, November 14 and is anticipated to continue through November 28.
