This is an open volunteer opportunity. We do welcome different age groups to volunteer during specific times.
This is our annual UCAAN Buy Me Love Charity event, meant for singles and supporters of our cause. This years' theme is "Through the Looking Glass", Yes, a wonderland themed event.
Early Set Up Crew 12:30pm - Meet at a location in Thousand Oaks to pick up event items. May need multiple vehicles for pick up help.
For Set up from 2pm-4:30pm we are open to family volunteers as long as children can be focused on task with a parent. We are open to a small group of volunteers - 10 max to help with set up, any age as long as there is a guardian for anyone under 14.
We ask that if you are selected to volunteer that you DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE, while you are volunteering, this prevents any issues in set up, during the event and clean up.
During the Event we Need Volunteers from 5pm-11pm, various shifts if you have a time limit. We need a limited number of volunteers from 5pm-7pm. The main event starts and 7:30pm - the Main event as in the Date Auction!!!
Volunteers during the event can be a group, maximum of 10 and MUST be at least 18 years of age. Various duties for volunteers during this event include:
- Helping at registration
- Greeting people at the event
- Working the Mad Hatter's Tea area
- Helping at any unmanned food or drink stations
- Working the Opportunity 2 Win stations
- Collecting winning tickets for Opp 2 Win and attaching them to the items for easier pick up
- Working towards the end of the event in providing winners with their Opportunity 2 win items
- and more!
Clean Up and Load Vehicles
Between 10:30pm and 11:30pm we have clean up time, which is open to any age, as long as minors are attended by adults. At 11pm, we generally load cars to drop off leftover supplies from the event.
