OF LOCAL HOMES TO REDUCE WILDFIRE RISKS

We are recruiting volunteers to conduct Home Ignition Zone Assessments to better prepare homes and property ahead of the next wildfire. After completing the workshop, a limited number of participants will be invited to provide homeowners with steps they can take to create defensible space and “harden” their home against wildfire. Trainees will work in teams of two and will be asked to complete at least five assessments.
Wildland fires continue to be a considerable hazard. With proper education, planning, and preparation, a wildfire’s potential dangers to homes can be reduced.
