Harvest food, fight hunger, build community! We will be harvesting beautiful lemons that would otherwise go to waste, and donating 100% to local hunger relief agencies. Join the Volunteer Team to help us pick as much fruit as possible from trees, and pack it into boxes to be donated.
This is a special harvest for volunteers and their friends/family who may want to get more involved in our Food Forward community! While we eat a delicious breakfast together, a special guest will share more about the impact that Food Forward's volunteers have had on the surrounding Ventura County community.
Volunteers should be comfortable picking fruit and carrying boxes that weigh up to 20 pounds, but don’t need to worry about bringing equipment or transporting the fruit. This opportunity is open to volunteers 5 years old and older, though children under 16 years old must come with a parent or guardian who registers for and volunteers at the event, too.
