The Oxnard Fire Department is excited to announce the fourth annual Disaster Preparedness Fair! The event will be held Saturday, September 29th, 2018 from 10 am. - 2 p.m. This promises to be a dynamic event with informational booths, equipment displays, and vendor offerings. We are focusing on getting the public educated and prepared for the next big disaster, whatever that may be.
We at the Oxnard Fire Department realize that disasters by are thankfully rare, but in the last several years our citizens through national and local event are very aware of the risks and dangers that disaster pose. Last year many citizens came because of Hurricanes Harvey and Maria, this year we expect a larger turnout with the recent Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslides fresh in their memories. We hope that the public will come out and take up the preparedness cause in their own homes and communities.
