Need 2-4 volunteers to support Habitat Home Repair.
Location: 2623 Mohawk Ave., Thousand Oaks
Dates & Time: Wed. 4/24-Fri. 4/26, 9am-3pm
Scope: Kitchen appliances, kitchen countertops, 2 bathroom tub to walk-in shower conversions

Reminder:
- You MUST check-in (on Civic Champs app or through supervisor's app) when you arrive.
- Habitat Home Repairs are located in a person's home. Please respect the privacy of the homeowner when volunteering for these shifts. Thank you! Review our Habitat Code of Conduct
Before you leave home:
- Bring a refillable water bottle full of water and a lunch
- Dress comfortably in clothes you won't mind getting dirty or paint on
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes
- Tie long hair back and remove jewelry
- Keep valuables at home or locked in your car - Habitat cannot guarantee a safe place to store valuables and is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property
Good Building Practices:
- Respect the tools – please don’t place tools and materials on the ground
- Housekeeping is everyone’s responsibility – please keep your area clean and orderly, put away tools, materials, and equipment when you are finished using them
- Lift heavy items safely – use your legs, not your back, and ask for help when you need it
- Pay attention – remember that things may be going on above, behind or below you!
- Stay hydrated – take a water break at least every hour
- Self-care site – sit down if you feel tired, dizzy, weak, confused, or nauseous; take a break if you need it
HEALTH SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS: Any illness symptoms should be SELF-CHECKED by participants before they arrive. Please take care of yourself and other volunteers/staff and stay home if you are not feeling well. Thank you!
