Who We Are
Mission: To say Thank You to our Military and First Responder communities, and to honor their service by creating opportunities for all Americans to express gratitude.
Operation Gratitude provides opportunities for the American people to express their gratitude and show our Military and first responders that what they do matters. Since 2003, with the help of our nationwide network of Volunteers, we have sent a total of 4 million Care Packages containing carefully chosen items meant to boost the morale and resilience of our service members and give them warm reminders of home. Today we send up to 200,000 Care Packages per year, and we are committed to growing that number to over 1 million per year by 2027.
What We Do
Every year, Operation Gratitude sends individually addressed Care Packages to Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen deployed overseas, to their children left behind, and to First Responders, New Recruits, Veterans, Wounded Heroes, and their Care Givers. Each package contains snacks, hygiene products, entertainment, and handmade items, as well as personal letters of support. Operation Gratitude provides civilians anywhere in America a way to say “Thank You” through active, hands-on volunteerism.
