Who We Are

Mission: To bring together artists and community for extraordinary artistic encounters that enrich, educate, and entertain.

Studio Channel Islands Art Center, located in Camarillo, California, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the creative life of Old Town Camarillo and the broader Ventura County community. The center fosters connections between artists and visitors, celebrating the cultural identity of the community through various artistic endeavors.

What We Do

Studio Channel Islands Art Center offers a variety of programs and services to engage the community with the arts. The Blackboard Gallery hosts six fine art exhibitions annually, featuring invitational solo shows, juried group exhibitions, and themed displays that reach out to the extended community.

The center also provides educational programs, including Artists in Schools, where professional artists lead specialized art programs tailored to specific grade levels, supporting Visual Art Standards and Social Emotional Learning.

Additionally, the Summer Art Camp offers classes led by professional studio artists in various mediums, allowing children to develop creativity and art skills.

The center’s Open Studio Saturdays invite the public to visit artists’ studios, observe the creative process, and engage with the artistic community.

Through these initiatives, Studio Channel Islands Art Center fosters a vibrant and interactive arts environment for all.
