Who We Are
Mission: To provide all participants with a fun, healthy, and safe running event while supporting and showcasing local communities.
Santa to the Sea is a non-profit organization based in Ventura County, California, dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and families during the holiday season and throughout the year. Established in 2003, the organization hosts an annual series of races—including a Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, 5K Run, and 1K Kids Fun Run—to raise funds for its various community initiatives. These events have grown into a significant community tradition, attracting participants from across the region.
What We Do
Santa to the Sea offers several key programs aimed at assisting local families:
-
Toy Drive: The organization distributes toys to over 3,000 children annually, ensuring that many receive their only Christmas gift through this initiative.
-
Scholarship Fund: In partnership with the Oxnard College Foundation and the Gene Haas Foundation, Santa to the Sea awards $500 scholarships to local high school students and adults continuing their education at Oxnard College. Since 2015, the program has awarded 80 scholarships annually, totaling $40,000 each year.
-
Community Support: The organization collaborates with local food banks and other community resources to provide essential support to families in need throughout the year.
