Heritage Square Oxnard is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history and architectural heritage of Oxnard, California. Established in 1985, the organization has restored and relocated several historic buildings to a single block, creating a vibrant community hub that serves as a testament to the city’s early pioneer families.

What We Do

Key Features:

  • Historic Preservation: The square features 15 beautifully restored structures, including homes, a church, a water tower, a pump house, and a storehouse, all dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
  • Cultural Center: Heritage Square serves as a cultural center, hosting a variety of events such as summer concerts, living history performances, tea events, and holiday celebrations.
  • Educational Programs: The organization offers guided tours and educational programs that provide insights into the history and architecture of Oxnard, fostering a deeper appreciation for the city’s heritage.
  • Community Engagement: Heritage Square is home to over 25 businesses, including restaurants, a wine-tasting room, and a visitor center with a gift shop, contributing to the local economy and community life.
