Who We Are

Mission: To find a cure for pancreatic cancer in honor of Ron Hirshberg and the thousands of people who are diagnosed with this disease each year.

The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, established in 1997, is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing pancreatic cancer research and providing support to patients and their families. Founded by Agi Hirshberg in memory of her late husband, Ronald S. Hirshberg, the foundation has been instrumental in funding groundbreaking scientific research, offering patient education and support, and fostering hope for a future free from pancreatic cancer.

What We Do

The Hirshberg Foundation offers a comprehensive range of services and programs aimed at combating pancreatic cancer and supporting those affected:

  • Research Funding: The foundation funds groundbreaking scientific research to advance the understanding and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

  • Patient Education and Support: Provides information, resources, and support to pancreatic cancer patients and their families, including financial assistance and guidance.

  • Annual Symposium: Hosts the Agi Hirshberg Symposium at UCLA, focusing on research progress and patient and family education.
