Who We Are
The BGCOP is a membership organization, and is chartered affiliate of the national organization Boys & Girls of America (BGCA). Annual membership dues are $20.00, and program fees for services are nominal. Scholarships ensure that no child or teen is turned away. The purpose of BGCOP is to provide social, educational and recreational programs to all youth ages 6-18yrs, with an emphasis on those in underserved areas. There are five core areas under which programming and special initiatives are delivered: Career & Education, Character & Leadership, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness and Education. We implement Formula for Impact, a research-based theory of change designed to ensure Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.
