Mission The California Science & Engineering Fair (CSEF) advances STEM education by providing a statewide platform for students to present original research, connect with mentors and professionals, and be recognized for their curiosity, rigor, and innovation. History For 75 years, the California Science & Engineering Fair has brought together student researchers from across the state to share their work and be recognized at the highest level of pre-college STEM achievement. What began as a statewide effort to elevate student science has grown into a long-standing tradition that connects students, educators, and professionals in a shared commitment to learning and discovery. Today, CSEF continues to evolve—expanding access, strengthening community partnerships, and creating opportunities for students to engage with science in meaningful and lasting ways.
