Welcome! For the Need is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth and families experiencing homelessness, poverty, unstable life conditions, and critical illness.
Our mission is to provide a foundation for underprivileged youth to overcome life's difficult challenges, discover opportunity, and realize their own unique potential.
Established in 2004 and recognized as a California Nonprofit of the Year in 2023, FTN continues to Transform Young Lives and break the cycle of homelessness by fostering resilience, hope, and opportunity through an array of Mentorship Program opportunities. What We Do
For The Need hosts a variety of exciting and well-organized events throughout the year. Children and their families are invited to participate in themed adventures, sports activities, and educational opportunities. Our events revolve around team building, acquiring new skills and positive exposure to mentorship, building hope and resilience in the next generation. Each event is filled with fun activities, food and refreshments, social engagement, and focus on learning an important life skill all at zero cost to the families.
