Playhouse Prep Thursdays 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Assist with creating wood playhouse kits, which will later be used at Playhouse Build events to make playhouses that are donated to military families with young children.

For Youth Volunteers:

Location: 1850 Eastman Ave., Oxnard (behind Habitat Ventura office building on right side)

Scope: cut, paint, and prep wood kits for playhouse events

Assist with creating wood playhouse kits, which will later be used at Playhouse Build events to make playhouses that are donated to military families with young children.

For Youth Volunteers:

Scope: cut, paint, and prep wood kits for playhouse events

Volunteers of all skill levels needed for our new construction project in Camarillo June through August, 2025. All skill levels needed to assist with various stages of the build. MUST apply using our Habitat Ventura Volunteer Application. Applicants will be reviewed and sent a link to our calendar to register. 

The Habitat Ventura Event Team meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 6-7:30 pm (sometimes in person and sometimes on Zoom) to support our annual large events and fundraisers, and we’d love your support! We need help with creating decor, gathering auction items, doing phone call and canvassing outreach to promote events, and support on event days. To join, create an account online through our volunteer management system: Habitat Ventura Volunteer Application. Select "Event Team" and/or "Event Support" as your interests on the questionnaire.

Individuals and small groups experienced at some home repair and maintenance (or interested in learning more about it) are needed to assist our Habitat Home Repair program with projects around the Ventura County. This program supports low-income homeowners (primarily seniors, the disabled, and veterans) with needed home repairs. These vary from minor to major, and include: installing energy-efficient windows, repairing electrical wiring, building ramps, putting in grab bars, and much more! You must register online through our volunteer management system: Habitat Ventura Volunteer Application.

The ReStore is a discount home improvement store that sells sells new and used furniture, decor, appliances, and building materials, helping keep over 300 tons out of landfills per year. We need volunteers to help with unloading new arrivals, organizing, cleaning, and heavy lifting. Cashier and customer service may be taught to long-term volunteers. The ReStore is open 7 days a week, closed some holidays. You must sign up online through our volunteer management system: Habitat Ventura Volunteer Application. Applicants will be reviewed and sent a link to our calendar to register for shifts.
