Volunteer: Food Distribution Volunteers Needed

Are you looking to get involved in your community? The Westminster Free Clinic is looking for volunteers to support our weekly food distribution. After operating in Thousand Oaks for the last 20 years and serving over 10,000 people annually, Westminster Free Clinic has opened a new location in Oxnard to serve the uninsured of west county. 

We need help setting-up, bagging food (produce, grains, non-perishables), and cleaning up.

 

Volunteer Shift time: Every Tuesday, 12:30 pm-4 pm; you do not have to be present for the whole shift, any amount of help is welcomed!

 

Location: St. Paul's Methodist Church 1800 South C Street, Oxnard, CA 93033

 

Food bagging begins at 1 pm, distribution to the public begins at 4:30 PM

After operating in Thousand Oaks for the last 20 years and serving over 8,000 people annually, Westminster Free Clinic has opened a new location in Oxnard to serve the uninsured of west county. Bilingual volunteers, especially those fluent in Spanish, Mixteco, or Zapoteco, are strongly encouraged to apply

The clinic operates out of St. Paul's Methodist Church (1800 South C St) in Oxnard, every Tuesday night, from 5pm-8:30pm. Hours are flexible and we are willing to accommodate your schedule.

We are looking for:

Volunteers to help with patient intake  Attorneys (Specifically Immigration, Housing, & Family Law) Volunteers to join our Governing Board or Friends Board Board members assist with planning, fundraising, volunteer appreciation, and marketing for the clinic Provide clinic with new or valued items that WFC can use for rewards & prizes Fundraising / Special Events Document Scanning/ Clerical ad-hoc data entry Clothing Donation Collection & Clothing Distribution Provide resources for holiday Adopt a Family event, book drives, backpacks with school supplies, etc.
