Volunteer: BRITE Futures Initiative Open Studio HoursLooking for something meaningful to do this summer? Join our BRITE Futures Initiative (BFI) Youth Coalition by signing up for our Open Studio Hours! A space where youth ages 12 - 26 in Ventura County can develop advocacy projects and join advocacy campaigns to make their voices heard on issues that they care about in their community. Students can build important skills in leadership, civic engagement, research, teamwork, public speaking, and so much more! Whether you're interested in film, animation, writing, acting, art, social media or community events, we're here to support you in bringing your ideas to life. This can count towards community service or just to make a positive impact! Students can also earn $20-75 stipends by becoming a committed Project or Campaign Leader! You'll get support and training from us to manage a project or campaign from start to finish. Residents of Simi Valley, Santa Paula, and Fillmore are strongly encouraged to join us! Make a difference in your community and have fun while doing it! We are interested in working with individuals as well as with groups.
