Adult Day Care Center - 2-4 hours, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities may include arts and crafts, decorating, leading discussions, gardening, admin, working with seniors during their activities.

Commitment of at least one shift per week or pre-agreed upon schedule Ability to engage and work well with clients with Dementia Use of good judgement in social interactions Willingness to share ideas, lead activities and assist in creating a safe and engaging program

Meals On Wheels Drivers - 2 hours, 7 days/week.  Drivers deliver meals and a smile to home-bound seniors in their community.

The Senior Concerns’ Meals On Wheels program ensures homebound seniors get to eat nutritious, freshly prepared meals by delivering meals to their doorstep. More than 85 community volunteers bring close to 30,000 nutritionally balanced hot lunches and light meals to seniors in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park 365 days a year.

In addition to the delicious food, prepared in the kitchens of Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in accordance with nutritional dietary guidelines, Meals On Wheels’ volunteers deliver holiday gifts and surprises, as well as daily smiles and friendly conversation to seniors.

Bargain Boutique and Thrift Store - 3 hours, Monday-Saturday. Volunteers sort merchandise, organize displays, assist customers, answer the phone, use the cash register, and any other general retail tasks.

Unique treasures, gently-used clothing and vintage trinkets grace the shelves of Senior Concerns’ Bargain Boutique and Thrift Store. Jewelry, small furniture, crystal, china, clothing, antiques and one-of-a-kind finds make the Bargain Boutique a favorite, feel-good place to shop.

Open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday. The Bargain Boutique accepts donations from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Saturday.
