The Camarillo Ranch Foundation seeks community members to serve on the Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors meets at 5:30 P.M. on the First Wednesday of the month.  All CRF Committee Meetings take place in the CRF Programs Office, unless otherwise noted.

Please type or print clearly and attach a resume (if desired). All applicants must reside within Ventura County. (See Board of Directors’ Vacancies.) In addition to submitting this application, you may be asked to participate in an interview process.  If accepted by the board, a background check done. This application and anything submitted with the application is a public record.

Camarillo Ranch Docents learn about the Camarillo legacy to share local history with visitors. Docent-guided tours of the Camarillo family’s 1892 Queen Anne Victorian home provide access to all 15 rooms.  Items belonging to the Camarillo family, historical photographs, and furnishings bring to life the colorful stories shared by docents.  Step outside and take in lovely views of the front lawn and gardens from the home’s generous wraparound porch.

Docents 

Lead tours through the 1892 Queen Anne Victorian home, visit local historic sites on field trips, join in the festive celebrations and special events, and teach visitors about Adolfo Camarillo and life in the late 19th century.

Docents are requested to volunteer at least 16 hours per quarter (every 3 months).

OUTREACH AND MARKETING PROJECTS: 

The Camarillo Ranch Foundation needs volunteers to assist in outreach to the community to share the many events and historical richness of the Camarillo Ranch for Ventura County.

prepare marketing and advertising flyers and social media posts conduct a presentation or a recruitment drive for specific events or tours staff the CRF booth at public events for publicizing the ranch programs assist with our signature community events throughout the year  workdays may be scheduled to arrange storage and clean up of functional and display items.  volunteers have talents and interests that might be well suited to support the historical Camarillo Ranch graphic design, administrative support and much more.
