Avocado Harvest at a Somis Orchard!

Food Forward is working to fight hunger and food waste in Southern California, and we'd love to have you join us. We collect fresh, local produce that would otherwise get thrown away, and donate 100% to local food banks, pantries, and shelters. Sign up online at foodforward.org/events/ or email volunteer@foodforward.org for more information. Volunteers help us pick fruit from trees and pack it into boxes to be donated. Volunteers should be comfortable picking fruit and carrying boxes of fruit. Wear comfortable work clothing and close-toed shoes, and bring water to drink. Volunteers must be at least 5 years old, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
