Laubach Literacy is seeking adults to serve on its board of directors. We are looking for people interested in furthering our mission to tutor adults who want to learn or improve their English. Board members do not need to know a second language or be a tutor. While previous work on a nonprofit board is helpful, it is not required. We are looking for anyone who has time and enthusiasm for what we do. We are looking for people who have a few hours a month to help with running our small all-volunteer organization. We have no paid staff. The board meets every other month, except August, in the evening at our office. Our annual meeting is in July, when we elect new officers and board members. You do not need to be a current member of Laubach Literacy of Ventura County. People with skills in social media outreach are needed. We have a mix of actively employed and retired people who serve on our board of 4 members. We have insurance for our board members and officers.
