Volunteer opportunities for VCFD Community Education activities include:
Child Passenger Safety (CPS) installations. Participants must successfully complete a 32-40 hour Child Passenger Safety Technician certification program.
Volunteers staff fire prevention event booths at community fairs and events
Volunteer victims and makeup artists are needed for emergency drills
Volunteers pick up Spark of Love gift collections from VCFD fire stations in December and take them to a distribution site.
All VCFD volunteers must go through an application process that includes a background check and Volunteer Orientation.
