Healing California is hosting a free dental and vision clinic in Oxnard. We are in need of volunteers and assist with this clinic. This event will be on Saturday, November 16th from 8am-5pm at Community Action of Ventura County (621 Richmond Ave, Oxnard, CA 93030). The population we will be serving are homeless, veteran, and low-income, and we expect over 100 people to attend.
Volunteer Interpreters will be translating information for patients whose first language is not English. We are specifically looking for interpreters who can speak Spanish. Patients rely on quality, confidential interpretation and translation to relay their personal information. Interpreters will be helping patients ask questions and ensuring patients understand any information they need. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Volunteers are not required to volunteer the entire duration of the clinic and can choose to volunteer for time slots that fit their schedule.
