
Volunteers needed for our
Backpack Gift~Away Drive-Thru Event
Saturday, August 14th
River Community Church,
859 E. Santa Clara St., Ventura

The theme of our event is Pirates & Mermaids. Please dress up if you wish.
This event is for Foster/Resource, Kinship, Adoptive and Birth Families served by Kids & Families Together. Each child, with their families, will receive a backpack with school supplies and other donations as available.
We are needing volunteers for setting up in the morning, during the event, and for breakdown/clean-up.
- Duties may include lifting 10 lbs or more, twisting, bending, reaching above the head, organizing donations, setting up canopies, tables and other.
- Please be mindful of your physical capabilities and what you are comfortable helping with for our event.
Volunteer Schedule
- 8:30am-10:30am: Set-up- the event with canopies, tables, chairs, drive-thru area and donations.
- 10:15am -12:30pm (event is 10:30-12:30pm): Event-help with traffic flow, registration, distribute donations, and hand out sack lunches.
- 12:15-2pm: Breakdown/clean-up-help break down the event and bring supplies/donations back to KFT office (across the street from the church).

Volunteer Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our upcoming event.
In order to maintain health and safety protocols during COVID-19,please see below for our volunteer guidelines.
- Minimum volunteer age is 12, minor volunteers must be accompanied by an adult.
- A volunteer who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days or lives with someone who has tested positive in the past 14 days, may not attend this event.
- If you have a fever (or had one in past 3 days), a dry cough, loss of taste/smell, body aches, or shortness of breath, please do not attend. Assessment questions will be asked day of event before you can enter.
- Masks are required; there are no exceptions. If you cannot wear a mask, please wait for future events that may not require them.
- If you do not have a mask, one will be provided. Masks must cover your nose and mouth. The mask must stay on your face for the entire event.
- 6’ physical distance must be adhered to.
- Gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Please wear comfortable clothes, sun protection, and close-toed shoes; no sandals.
- Snacks and drinks will be provided.
