Volunteer Opportunity
To help serve foster/resource, kinship, adoptive and birth families served by Kids & Families Together for our upcoming Spring Fling Gift ~Away Drive-Thru Event on Saturday, April 3rd in Ventura! We will be providing the families we serve a gift card, Spring baskets for the children, teen bags, toys and other donated items. Helping families fill a need when they may not otherwise have the financial means to do so.
Help us set-up for the event, provide donations to much needy families during our drive-thru event, and then clean-up/unload supplies at KFT office after the event.
Volunteer Location:
Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Rd, Ventura, CA 93003.
Volunteer Schedule:
Saturday, April 3rd time slots from 8am -2pm:
- 8am -10am: event set-up with canopies/tables/donations
- 9:45am -12pm: providing donations to families during the drive-thru event: need help with traffic control and handing out donations at each station
- 11:45am -1pm: helping with clean-up with breaking down canopies/tables, loading up truck with left over donations/supplies
- 1pm-2pm: Meet at KFT office to unload the truck with event supplies.
Volunteer Guidelines:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our upcoming event.
In order to maintain health and safety protocols during COVID-19, please see below for our volunteer guidelines.
- Minimum volunteer age is 12, minor volunteers must be accompanied by an adult.
- A volunteer who has tested positive in the past 14 days or lives with someone who has tested positive in the past 14 days, may not attend this event.
- If you have a fever (or had one in past 3 days), a dry cough, loss of taste/smell, body aches, or shortness of breath, please do not attend. Assessment questions will be asked day of event before you can enter.
- Masks are required; there are no exceptions. If you cannot wear a mask, please wait for future events that may not require them.
- If you do not have a mask, one will be provided. Masks must cover your nose and mouth. The mask must stay on your face for the entire event.
- 6’ physical distance must be adhered to.
- Gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Bathrooms may not be available so please plan accordingly.
- Please wear comfortable clothes, sun protection, and close-toed shoes; no sandals.
- Snacks and drinks will be provided.
