Needs From: United Way of Ventura County

Diversity Collective Ventura County is looking for a core group of volunteers to assist in a wide variety of needs. We recently opened the Community Resource Center in Ventura and are looking for passionate community members to help us achieve creating the one stop shop for services that the LGBTQ community of Ventura County needs so badly.

There are opportunities in program development, community outreach, fundraising, event planning, and capacity building. Diversity Collective is an all-volunteer based non-profit organization and we are made up of a diverse group of community members passionate about creating safe spaces within our community while increasing awareness and access to services.

Diversity Collective Ventura County in partnership with Ventura County Public Health, have recently launched our HIV/AIDS Education and Prevention programs. This includes free anonymous and confidential HIV Rapid Testing twice a month at our Community Resource Center located at 2471 Portola Rd, suite 100 in Ventura. The program assistant would help coordinate testing events and help with outreach activities. There are opportunities to assist in program development as our program is continuously evolving and growing.
