Join our Education and Legacy Committee with the following: 

historical research creating educational displays artifact maintenance, cataloguing and reporting photography graphic design administrative support and much more.  

Tell us about your skills and interests!  Discuss the possibilities with the Education and Legacy Committee Chair.

Volunteer: HISTORIC CAMARILLO RANCH HOUSE - WEEKEND TOUR DOCENT

Camarillo Ranch Docents learn about the Camarillo legacy to share local history with visitors. Docent-guided tours of the Camarillo family’s 1892 Queen Anne Victorian home provide access to all 15 rooms.  Items belonging to the Camarillo family, historical photographs, and furnishings bring to life the colorful stories shared by docents.  Step outside and take in lovely views of the front lawn and gardens from the home’s generous wraparound porch.

Docents 

Lead tours through the 1892 Queen Anne Victorian home, visit local historic sites on field trips, join in the festive celebrations and special events, and teach visitors about Adolfo Camarillo and life in the late 19th century.

Docents are requested to volunteer at least 16 hours per quarter (every 3 months).

Join the dedicated Board of Directors of the Camarillo Ranch Foundation (CRF).  Our mission is to preserve the legacy of Adolfo Camarillo and to share the fascinating history of the Camarillo Ranch through education, enjoyment and enrichment. The Board of Directors meets at 5:30pm on the First Wednesday of the month.   All CRF Committee Meetings take place in the CRF Office, unless otherwise noted.
