Placement opportunities in Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks and Oxnard.  Please submit resume with cover letter indicating term of field practicum placement.  Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.  MFT and MSW field practicum student trainees provide individual, group and family counseling to youth and their parents in our service locations.  Must be enrolled in Practicum as part of a Master's Program.  Minimum commitment on site is 10 hours per week.  This is a volunteer opportunity and not a paid position. Youth Probation Programs

Volunteers needed to assist with weekly Diversion Classes for youth.  Classes are ordered for first time offenders and deal with topics related to offense.  Volunteers will work at registration tables, set-up referral table and, be trained to conduct PowerPoint presentations to youth and parents referred by Ventura County Probation Agency.  Topics at both locations are: Substance Abuse, Violence Prevention, Property Crimes, Graffiti Vandalism.  Each youth must be accompanied by parent or guardian.  Class is educational in nature.

Time Commitment:  Must commit to two hours weekly.  Oxnard Class Thursday evenings from 5 to 7PM.  Simi Valley Class Tuesday evenings 5 to 7PM.  If interested, please contact Youth Services, youthservicesvolunteer@icfs.org

Interface offers various youth development activities to youth engaged in our runaway and homeless youth services.  Some of the activities currently offered are youth council and life skill classes.  Volunteers are currently needed to lead positive youth development activities.  Youth development activities include leadership skill building, educational workshops, and recreational activities.  If you have a talent or a skill that you would like to share with area youth please contact our program. 

Time commitment:  Weekdays/early evenings/weekends.
