Change a Life in Just One Hour a Week

Want to do something meaningful and have a great time doing it?

Come volunteer as a Literacy and /or  Math Tutor at GiGi’s Playhouse! This is not “sit-and-lecture” tutoring. It is filled with laughs, high-fives, games, encouragement, and real connections.

You will build friendships, celebrate wins, and leave each session smiling. Just 1 fun hour a week can make a big difference. No experience needed. We give you everything you need to succeed.

What to Expect:

✔ 1 hour per week

✔ 10-week session

✔ One-on-one connection

✔ Training provided

GiGi’s Playhouse Simi Valley is launching GiGi’s Kitchen 2026 and we are looking for Program Leads to support our Kids, Teens, and Adult classes.

Here are the current program times:

GiGi’s Kitchen is all about building confidence and independence through hands-on cooking, teamwork, and fun. Volunteers help participants learn kitchen skills, try new foods, and build friendships in a welcoming and inclusive environment. No professional cooking experience is needed, just a caring heart and a willingness to jump in and help.

Our biggest community celebration of the year is around the corner, and we’re looking for volunteers to help us plan, prep, and spread acceptance every step of the way! If you’ve got a heart for our mission (and love a good 5K!), we’d be thrilled to have you on the team.

Volunteer Roles We’re Currently Looking to Fill:

We are especially looking for help with the following programs:

GiGi’s Kitchen - meets monthly

• Program Leads (Kids, Teens, and Adults)

GiGiFIT You & I (Infant Program) - Wed 9:30-10:30am- weekly

• Program Assistants to support caregivers and babies

GiGiFIT Preschoolers Thurs 9:00-10:00am- weekly

• Program Assistants to support caregivers and babies

GiGiFIT Kids & Teens Thurs 4:00-5:00 / 5:00-6:00pm

• Program Assistants to help facilitate activities and encourage participants

Whether you are interested in stepping into a leadership role or assisting with programs, there is a place for you this spring!

Do you enjoy working with the comminty and making connections? If so, you may be great for our Auction Item Donation Solicitation Committee! Help us contact local businesses to request donations of goods and services to inlcude in our auction donation baskets.

We will provide you with training, tools and a list of contacts. This is a volunteer job that can be completed from home! Our list consists of bussinesses that have supported GiGi's Playhouse in the past, so they are familiar with our organization and mission. Volunteer will contact the donor in the way that the donor prefers. You'll submit donation requests through the mail, via an online application, or in person.
