Who We Are

Mission: To fight hunger and prevent food waste by rescuing fresh surplus produce, connecting this abundance with people experiencing food insecurity, and inspiring others to do the same.

Food Forward: Ventura County is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing fresh surplus produce that would otherwise go to waste and distributing it to communities in need. By collecting excess fruits and vegetables from local farms, backyard trees, and markets, the organization helps combat hunger and reduce food waste. Food Forward works with a network of volunteers and food partners to ensure that fresh produce reaches food-insecure individuals and families throughout Ventura County.
