Who We Are
Mission: To teach adults 18 years and older to speak, understand, read, and write English and to familiarize them with American culture.
Laubach Literacy trains adult volunteer tutors to work with adults who need help learning how to read, write and speak English. The tutors work one-on-one with the student. All services and materials are provided to the tutors and the students without charge.
What We Do
Trained volunteers provide free one-on-one ESL (English as a Second Language) tutoring to any Ventura County resident who is 18 or older. Group classes are also available in some public libraries and private locations as needed. Training and learning materials are provided free to tutors and adult learners.
