Who We Are

Mission: To care for the Los Padres Forest, ensuring it thrives and remains safe and open for the people to use and enjoy.

The Los Padres Forest Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the natural resources of the Los Padres National Forest. They work in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and local communities to maintain trails, restore ecosystems, and promote outdoor recreation. Through volunteer efforts and advocacy, the association helps ensure that the forest remains a thriving habitat for wildlife and a treasured space for public enjoyment.

What We Do

We maintain and repair trails in the Ojai Ranger District and run the training, educational and interpretive programs at our Wheeler Gorge Visitors Center, located 8 miles above the city of Ojai. Our outdoors related presentations have provided for much needed entertainment and education for the general public from Ventura County and the surrounding counties. We have been intensely serving the Ojai Ranger District’s interests and visions for the last three years.
