Mission: To assist our clients to remain living independently in their homes by providing their necessary weekly groceries.
Shop Ahoy is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting homebound seniors and adults in Ventura County, California. Founded in 1997, the organization focuses on reducing isolation among seniors by providing consistent grocery shopping and delivery services. With six sites across the county, Shop Ahoy serves communities including Camarillo, Mission Oaks, Newbury Park, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Santa Paula, Saticoy, Simi Valley, Somis, Thousand Oaks, Ventura, and Westlake.
What We Do
Shop Ahoy offers a range of services to support seniors and homebound adults:

Grocery Shopping and Delivery: Volunteers shop for and deliver groceries to clients, ensuring they have access to essential items without the need to leave their homes.

Volunteer Opportunities: Individuals can contribute by calling clients, shopping for groceries, delivering items, or any combination of these tasks. Volunteers have the flexibility to serve in various locations, including Simi Valley, Camarillo, Mission Oaks, Thousand Oaks, Ventura, and Oxnard.
