Who We Are

Mission: To allow residents to participate in local government at the neighborhood level.

The Simi Valley Neighborhood Councils serve as community-driven organizations that aim to foster a strong sense of local engagement and civic responsibility. These councils provide a platform for residents to collaborate, voice concerns, and work together with local government to address neighborhood needs. The councils strive to build safer, more vibrant neighborhoods by promoting community involvement, supporting local initiatives, and enhancing the quality of life for residents in Simi Valley.

What We Do

Neighborhood Councils act as a link between City government and residents. They advise the City Council and Planning Commission on resident concerns, development projects, and other matters on which the City Council has specifically requested their input. They offer residents a regular opportunity to voice their concerns or ask questions about their neighborhood and city. They work within the City’s government structure to develop ideas and recommendations for community concerns related to planning and development projects, public safety, traffic issues, community services, etc.
