Who We Are
Mission: To assist the community with reading, writing, and computer usage. Provide arts and courses for adult learning.
The Blanchard Community Library offers many services for learning and entertainment. There is a literacy component for adults and families, a teen program and an ongoing monthly family night program and weekly story hours for preschoolers. The annual Society of the Arts art show is held in March in the Library, as well as a monthly revolving wall of art works from local artists. Computers are available for for both adults and children, as well as databases to help learn many languages, either basic before a vacation trip to another country or a complete course for learning, to help genealogists, and students doing biographical research and topic research with current magazine sources, most with full-text articles online. The Friends of the Library have two book sales annually, the first Saturdays in May and November.
What We Do
We are a library. We have family nights with story hours. We have art displays, and anyone is welcome to obtain a library card where they can check out books or use the library computers. We also offer literacy courses.
