Who We Are
Mission: To provide a positive place for all youth, especially those who need us most, and quality programs to help them become healthy, responsible, confident and productive members of our community.
The Boys & Girls Club of Ventura is a youth-serving organization dedicated to improving the lives of children. The Club serves youth at five centers in Ventura, Saticoy and Oak View. We serve over 6500 youth and families a year.
Our sites are open year-round after-school and in the summertime to all youth between the ages of 6 to 18 regardless of race, religion, culture, gender, sexual orientation, or financial considerations. Five days a week, hundreds of youth from Ventura and its surrounding cities, stream through our doors and are able to benefit from fun and engaging activities and programs that provide academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyle skill-building. They benefit from a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competency and build the self-esteem that is so necessary for making good choices in life.
What We Do
We focus on academic success through our programs including Be Great: Graduate, Club Tech, Digital Arts, DramaMatters Afterschool, National Fine Arts, Power Hour, Robo Tech, and Skill Tech I. We additionally focus on fostering good character and leadership skills through our programs including Career Launch, Junior Staff, Keystone Clubs, Latino Outreach, Money Matters, Torch Club, Youth for Unity, and Youth of the Year. Every program is different and is aimed at certain genders and ages! We aim to help our members grow and to help them become healthy, responsible, confident and productive members of our community.
