Who We Are

Mission: To meet the needs of Oxnard’s older residents through a variety of programs and enrichment activities.

The Oxnard RSVP has nearly 600 volunteers over the age of 55 who are providing help at one or more of 70+ non-profit, public agency or proprietary health organization partners. There are so many needs in our community, deciding where to help can be confusing. At Oxnard RSVP, we make it easy for you. In one quick stop, we’ll interview you to identify your interests and skills, and then match you up so you can get out there and start helping. Or, if you already know how you want to serve, we’ll put you in touch with a place that needs the skills you offer. Simply put, we’re a matchmaker between older adults who have skills to offer and organizations that need their help.

What We Do

Studies show seniors who volunteer live longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives. RSVP helps seniors stay active and involved by matching them with community nonprofits that need their skills. If you are 55 or older, join the almost 600 local RSVP members who volunteer in our community.

RSVP members do just about everything. They tutor students, help seniors live independently, assist in libraries, help local senior centers, and lead educational and exercise classes. However and wherever they choose to serve, RSVP members meet community needs and make a difference! Join today and let your life skills leave a lasting legacy.
