Mission: To improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. In California, ACS offers a variety of programs and services to support cancer patients and their families, including local fundraising events and cancer support programs. Their efforts are aimed at improving the lives of those affected by cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support.
What We Do
In California, the American Cancer Society provides a range of services to support those affected by cancer:
