Who We Are

Mission: To improve the quality of life for those impacted by brain injury living in Ventura County.

The Brain Injury Center of Ventura County (BIC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals affected by brain injuries in Ventura County, California. Established in 1998, BIC offers a range of support services to brain injury survivors and their families, focusing on care transitions, residential support, and community education. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for those impacted by brain injury living in Ventura County.

What We Do

BIC provides a variety of services tailored to the needs of brain injury survivors and their families:

  • Care Transitions Services: Assisting survivors and families as they navigate the journey from hospital to home, ensuring a smooth transition and continued support.

  • Residential Facility: Operating a 6-bed Adult Residential Facility for Brain Injury Survivors, offering 24-hour care in a supportive environment.

  • Individual Support & Care Coordination: Providing personalized support to assist survivors in reintegrating into community, work, and social life.

  • Support Groups: Facilitating bi-monthly support groups for survivors and their families to share experiences and receive peer support.

  • Virtual Reality Rehabilitation: Implementing innovative virtual reality programs to enhance rehabilitation efforts for brain injury survivors.
