Who We Are

Mission: To support the Ventura County Medical Center by offering volunteer services, fundraising, and community engagement to improve patient care and hospital operations.

The Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) Auxiliary is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing patient care and supporting the hospital’s mission through volunteer services and fundraising efforts. Established to promote the health and welfare of the community, the Auxiliary plays a vital role in supplementing hospital staff and providing comfort to patients.

What We Do

The VCMC Auxiliary offers a variety of services and programs aimed at enhancing patient care and supporting hospital functions:

  • Volunteer Services: Volunteers assist with admitting or discharging patients, delivering food trays, providing reading materials, and offering companionship to patients in need.

  • Gift Shop Operations: The Auxiliary manages the hospital’s gift shop, offering a range of items for patients, visitors, and staff, with proceeds supporting hospital programs.

  • Fundraising and Scholarships: The Auxiliary organizes fundraising events and provides educational scholarships to students entering the healthcare field, promoting the development of future healthcare professionals.
